Authorship Signals helps you create an email signature. We keep that task separate from measuring visits to the website.
Your signature details
Your name, role, email, selected signal, review controls, and other builder settings are saved in local storage on this browser so they are there next time. They are not submitted to our server or sent to website analytics. There is no account or cloud synchronization.
Use Forget details in the builder to remove the saved signature details, or clear this site's data in your browser. Anyone using the same browser profile may be able to see saved details. Copying places your chosen signature on your clipboard; downloading creates files on your device. What happens after you paste or share them is controlled by your email app and recipients.
Website analytics and hosting
We use Vercel to host the website and Vercel Web Analytics to understand visits and improve the site. Analytics reports can include page paths, referring sites, approximate location, and browser/device information. This implementation removes query strings and fragments from page-view URLs and does not add custom events containing signature details.
Vercel describes Web Analytics as using a short-lived, request-derived identifier rather than third-party cookies; its visitor-session identifier is discarded after 24 hours. That is different from how long aggregate reports are retained. See Vercel's analytics privacy documentation and Vercel's privacy policy for provider processing, retention, and international transfers. The hosting provider also processes ordinary network requests and security logs, which can include IP addresses.
We do not sell visitor information or use advertising pixels. You can disable this site's analytics in this browser using the control below. That preference is saved locally. It stops future analytics events from this implementation; it does not erase aggregate reports already collected or prevent ordinary hosting/security logs.
Email badges
There are no tracking scripts, recipient identifiers, or analytics tags in the generated email signatures. A hosted PNG can still cause an ordinary image request to its host, and email services may proxy or cache it. Choose a text badge by clearing the public image URL in the builder if you prefer no badge-image request.
Contact and choices
For website administration, privacy questions, or requests about information you send us, contact Geoff Hopkins at geoff@geoffhopkins.com. If you contact us, we use your message to respond and keep it only as reasonably needed for that purpose and applicable obligations. We do not receive your locally saved signature details and cannot identify a particular visitor from aggregate analytics reports alone.
The initiative is attributed to Sarah L. Hopkins. That attribution does not mean signature declarations have been independently reviewed or certified.
If the website's data practices change, we will update this page and its date.
